Books to Binge (Right Away!)

Summer is usually when I can get the most reading done because school is out; but maybe you find that your best time to read is a different season.

I'm not out to give you some massive reading list that would take a year to get through, or that overwhelms with ALL the good ideas.  Nope.  Here are just 3 books I have read recently (or in the case of #3-am currently reading) that are perfectly binge-worthy of your summer!
binge reading, books for summer, the wife, jodi picoult, small great things, books about racism, book recommendations

Starts off like it's going to be a domestic violence survivor theme.  Woman has bizarre husband, has to call and check in with him, has bruising.  It's a perfectly intense and page-turning book. And then the END comes and I was like "WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?"  You have to read this book so we can talk about it.

Of course anything from Jodi Picoult is worth your time.  This book in particular deals with racism and the issues that it brings.  It's a well-written book that helped me explore why and how some people are capable of such hatred.

Trigger/Small Spoiler alert:
---
--- an infant death is part of the story.  Sometimes a thing like this is a huge emotional trigger for me but I did okay with the book.  But if you've experienced loss...be cautious.

the wife, new novels, books worth reading

This is the book I am currently reading.  So far it is pretty intriguing.  A single mom, Angela, has married a man who ends up being a famous author.  She is wanting to keep a low profile but her husband's fame makes it hard.  Then her husband is accused of sexual assault by two other women; one of whom disappears under suspicious circumstances!  That's as far as I've gotten!
