PicMonkey has new fonts (free!)

PicMonkey is an awesome website that allows you to edit photos or create your own graphics.  It is free to use (you can upgrade to "Royale" but I have not spent the $ to do so).

I was excited this week to learn that they had added some new font choices. Some are Royale, but here are all of the new FREE fonts:

Do you have a favorite? I think Good Dog is my favorite but I can see myself using all of them at some time or another!

Friday Funnies: Frozen (Olaf)

Earlier this week I posted about something I don't find funny.  But today, it's time for the funny stuff!  Chances are you've heard of, and probably seen, the new Disney movie "Frozen."  It has become hugely popular.  When my family saw it, our favorite character was the little snowman named Olaf.

Why that Malaysian Airline Joke Isn't Funny

You know that Malaysian airline that has disappeared?
You don't?  Get caught up here and then come back.

Okay now we're all on the same page of this bizarre mystery.  Was it a hijacking?  Did the pilot do something on purpose?  Are they alive and held hostage somewhere?  Is everyone dead?  There are no answers yet.

Which leads me to the tacky:


This image has been going around the internet and social media.  Obviously making a joke that the airline has landed on Gilligan's Island.

I like Gilligan as much as the next guy, but this makes me cringe.

239 people were on that plane.

239 families are worried about their loved ones.

7 children were on that plane.  One of them just 2 years old.  5 haven't even turned 5 years old yet. (source)

Let's honor the families and not make light of the situation.

I'm working on lots (and lots!) of new posts for April.  Plus I've been plowing through a bunch of school work (yes, I'm a mom. yes, I'm in college.  yes, it is busy!).  Sooo, I was a little absent from blog-land this week.  But, I'm not about to neglect putting up a Friday Funnies post!

Stuff I Found Online

1. Best teacher gift idea for male teachers
A grill gift basket!  Steak sauce, lighter, grill brushes, marinades, etc.  Mom On Time Out is the brilliant mind behind this idea.  :)


2. Most interesting looking recipe:
Company Coleslaw.  I've never heard of putting pineapple and nuts into coleslaw but this is so intriguing, I think we'll try it next week!  From The Boat Galley.


3. Cutest Birthday Cake
You guys. It is BERENSTAIN BEARS as a birthday theme!!  Adorable.  In fact, as I type up this post, my youngest is joyfully watching a Berenstain Bear dvd that I got from the video store.  He thought the bears only lived in books!
