I can remember the smell of the musty old cards in the card catalog. And each book had a card in the front that we'd have to sign, the librarian would date stamp the book and the card. In school, we always loved finding books our parents had read (really small town with really old books). lol and the first one? Totally hilarious.
LOL. I remember the days when we had encyclopedias and that was the way we did our research. Now the kids just jump on the computer and "google" it. :)
Oh geez, that brings back memories of when I worked for a county stormwater department and we had to *gasp* MANUALLY dig subdivision plans out of rows and rows of long files. Ugh. What tedious work. How did we ever get by?

ReplyDeleteI've seen the old googling before (and I actually miss the smell of the wee cards!), but the cake is a new one to me-very funny!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteHahaha I am cracking up over the top one.
ReplyDeleteI was just trying to explain to my son the other day what a card catalog is. He really didn't get it.
